What happens when relocation tasks get shorter

In the previous article in the series, we raised the issue of the possibilities faced by today’s carriers, such as in the world of shipping, which provided the solution for the distribution of containers (groufage).

This time, we’d like to do short-term assignments.

Small World

How small is our world? The internet’s entry into our lives has made interpersonal contact much more readily available and faster. Competition in the aviation market has led to a decline in airfares and so the big world no longer seems so huge and in fact, even within our reach.

So to solve a crisis, monitor a project or start a start-up, it is no longer necessary to have a complex transition with the whole family for a few years. Sometimes, it is even easier to move the key person for a short and intensive period, thus reducing the risks on the part of the organization on behalf of which the employee is sent, and saving the resources of time and money.

Some data: 71% of Generation Y expect to perform tasks outside of their country. This figure beautifully reflects the world of mobility of recent years, a world in which companies and corporations would prefer to send employees on short, focused tasks. Tasks in which there is no need to move all family members and their belongings and overall, the risk that the task will not succeed decreases significantly.

And so the temporary housing solution was born

The shorter the relocation tasks, the greater the need for housing for a short period of time. But these are not Airbnb-style residences, but rather hotel-shaped furnished apartments that are available to the employee from the moment he enters until the moment the job is finished in the destination country.

After all, Generation Y does not disconnect from work, and therefore in temporary housing, solutions will be provided for the mobile person to his special needs – a proper residential solution that will give the feeling of a home and meet high standards, a work area as necessary and in fact, everything that will help the employee meet the task he is required for and even more.

For the mobile company, the employee must serve one and only purpose, which is to maximize his skill and abilities, for which he is sent to the task. And so this is what he is supposed to deal with from the moment he arrives in the destination country until he leaves. The companies that provide Corporate Housing also know that the place to live is a tool for the mobile company, and this tool should provide certainty for the success of the task.

Quiet for employees, quiet for the employer

Compared to short-term apartments, which are managed by property owners (as is customary on sites such as Booking, Airbnb and the like), temporary housing understands the needs of the mover to the smallest detail.

It takes no responsibility for the quality of the level of service, the level of operation and the success of the mobile mission, while the mobile companies need this security. After all, if the employee is preoccupied with logistics, searching for apartments, or operating malfunctions with the various property owners, he will not be available to engage in the purpose for which he has arrived.
